Organisation development - realising potential
The New Forest Outdoor Centre is able to work with organisations to unblock or realign their staff systems, processes and structures in order to improve organisational performance.
This type of realising potential course is focused on realising organisational potential. For realising personal potential see developing emotional intelligence and leadership development.
Supporting you to explore how information, resources and products flow through your organisation our facilitators will help you find a new perspective to look at how the processes are structured, the historical legacy of what is done, why and how and the behaviours that are encouraged both by the structure and the culture.
Many of the blockages in organisations that are blamed on members of staff or teams are in fact problems with systems and processes. Poor flows of information, enforced delays to decision making and inefficient practice create friction and can result in poor performance.
Our facilitators explore what is happening at the interfaces between teams and departments to ensure that each is set up to fulfil its potential. Often team development focuses on setting teams to work better, be more effective together and able to deal with the demands of the organisation. This can make the team better but leaves it placed in an environment that won't let it flourish. If the organisational processes and structures at the interface between teams are resolved first then working effectively as a team and delivering becomes a lot easier.
