Outdoor Organisational Development Courses
The New Forest Outdoor Centre offers a range of organisational development services to support the development of organisations.
We work with teams or organisations that are stuck, performing below expectation or repeating behaviours which are detrimental.
We help them to make sense of what is going on, both on the surface and beneath the surface, and facilitate effective decisions about what to do and how to achieve a positive outcome.
Our approach
Our consultancy approach supports teams to concentrate on their own process, how they are together, as a foundation to then consider what they are doing and how they are doing it. We believe this approach leads to more effective and sustainable decision making and working practice.
Course activities
With consultancy we like to use practical interactive activities, discussions and an emergent process to create fresh experiences for teams and individuals in the moment in order to help them make meaning of the current situation and sense of how they are. The thinking is that once we collectively surface what really ‘is’ as opposed to what we individually hope, want or perceive we are better informed to make effective decisions regarding what to do and how to do it.
Outdoor environment
The outdoor environment and practical tasks help to engage and surface our intuition and provide real and safe experiences to use as ways of exploring what is happening within the team. By its nature our approach is multi sensory which aids the retention of the experiences and the learning that is generated.
