Air Rifles and Pistol Shooting for outdoor team building

Taking aim in the pistol range, one of the outdoor team building activites available for team building programmes

This exciting outdoor team building activity gives team members the chance to practice their sniper skills. We have both .22 calibre air rifles and .177 calibre pistols available.

To start, participants receive a safety briefing followed by tuition on using the weapons from our qualified instructors. From the safety of our dugouts and wearing safety googles, team members can then take aim and practise their shot in our firing range. Once they have gained in confidence and mastered the necessary skills we can introduce scoring.

A shooting competition will reveal which team members have nerves of steel, a steady hand as well as the ability to stay calm under pressure. For light-hearted fun we can vary the targets with can-plunking and duck-blasting competitions being firm favourites.

Firing rifles in the shooting range at the New Forest Outdoor Centre, Hampshire

We have space in the firing range for up to four people to shoot at any one time. Those not shooting can spectate from the safety of the benches behind. The covered dugouts provide good protection from the elements should the weather be unkind.

The session is supervised by fully-qualified instructors at all times. All the participants in the group are fitted with safety goggles when shooting in our range.

The air rifles and pistol shooting activity is suitable for adults and children over the age of 8.
