Mountain Biking for outdoor team building
The New Forest has a fabulous network of good quality gravel paths, which makes it ideal for excursions on a bike. The scenery is stunning and there are usually plenty of opportunities to snap the views as well as photos of the New Forest ponies, who pay no attention to the highway code!
Depending on the time of year riders may also come across deer, wild boar and huge curly-horned cows. We offer several different mountain biking options to include either in our bespoke programmes or as part of an adult activity session:
- Short cycle rides within the extensive grounds of the estate
- A cycle expedition for either a half or full day, using New Forest cycle paths, planned and led by our instructors, with vehicular support if required.
- Bicycle treasure hunts and mountain bike orienteering
With few steep uphill tracks to spoil a nice day out, a cycling activity is an ideal way for visitors to our centre to appreciate the natural beauty of the New Forest. Whilst the activity is physical in nature, the cycle routes are generally fairly flat.

The session is supervised by fully-qualified instructors at all times. All the participants in the group are fitted with cycling helmets. The group will either be guided by an instructor or issued with radios to ensure that they can make contact with the instructor in case of emergency.
Mountain biking is suitable for adults and children over the age of 8.

"The tracks and paths that we followed through the forest were beautiful and we saw hundreds of New Forest ponies as well as the odd donkey, cow and even pig roaming the forest!"
Delegates can either bring their own bikes or we can arrange cycle hire for a small extra cost.
